It seems that Heidi Montag and her “The Hills” co-star,
Spencer Pratt, have really made the big step in Mexico. The on and off reality TV couple
secretly tied the knot on Thursday at the One & Only Palmilla Resort near
Cabo San Lucas, Us Weekly has confirmed.
In spite of the fact that friends and family of the bride
and groom were not present at the so-called wedding, Speidi wasted no time in proclaiming
the news on the cover of the above-mentioned magazine. What a way to surprise
loved ones!
Spencer Pratt informed the publication that he and
22-year-old Heidi Montag took the decision while they were having margaritas on
the beach. He said that they asked whether they could use the chapel at the
resort immediately after discussing about a wedding short of “family drama” and
confrontations with “friends or former friends.”
Although they had not planned anything, Heidi Montag and
Spencer Pratt found wedding rings for the ceremony at the hotel store. Rings
represent the symbol of love even if they are made of leather and have “jingly
flowers” on them.
Feelings are what matter the most in a relationship and the
bride told the magazine that she could not help shedding a couple of tears “the
minute we said our vows.” We sure hope Heidi Montag’s tears came from the
overwhelming joy of the moment and that they were not caused by remorse.
Her 25-year-old fresh husband also shared his wedding vows
with the weekly tabloid: “Heidi, from the moment you came into my life, I knew
my life would never be the same without you. You are the light in my life like
the sun to the Earth!” he said, before adding several other elegiac lines. “Your
loving warmth makes me want to be a better person. Being with you, I feel complete.
I’m honored to even be able to call you my wife. You are the most amazing,
loving and caring woman on this planet. I will love you forever and always.”
Heidi Montag said that she tried to suggest to her mom over the
phone that she was intending to tie the knot with her beau, but that her mother
did not understand the hints. In addition, she told the magazine that she had
not found the right moment to break the news. Now, she won’t have to do
anything, as Darlene Montag is likely to find out about the elopement at the
newsstands.
Heidi’s sister, Holly Montag reportedly found out about the Mexico affair
from friends’ text messages. She said during the “After Show” that her sister’s
decision of not inviting any family member at her wedding ceremony hurt her “a
little bit,” but she nevertheless expressed her unconditioned support.
Although she said that Heidi Montag had always dreamed of a
perfect traditional wedding, Holly wished the “Hills” star a “lifetime of
happiness,” adding that she loved her despite all the misunderstandings.
