Saturday, “Melrose Place” actress Heather Locklear was
arrested outside the coastal city of Santa Barbara
by the California Highway Patrol under suspicion of driving under the influence
of prescription drugs.
Locklear, 47, was soon released by the California police,
without having to post any bail in order to be set free. Neither police
officers who had performed the arrest nor a spokesperson for the actress were
available for details or comments on the matter.
Saturday night, Heather Locklear was seen driving recklessly
after leaving a parcking lot and later on, she left her car on a Montecito,
Santa Barbara highway lane, thus blocking the traffic, news reports informed.
Back in June this year, the actress checked herself into an
Arizona medical center, where she received treatment for anxiety and depression.
She then also requested her medication undergo an in-depth evaluation,
so that both her diagnosis and her treatment to be as accurate as possible.
After four weeks spent in the medical facility, Locklear returned home on July
23, 2008.
Heather Deen Locklear, six time-Golden Globe-nominated American
actress, rose to fame mostly
due to her roles in TV series such as 1980s soap-opera “Dynasty,” where she
played Sammy Jo Carrington, cop drama “T.J. Hooker” (in the role of officer Stacy Sheridan)
and 1990s soap-opera „Melrose Place,” in which she portrayed Amanda Woodward.
She was also cast in the „Spin City” sitcom, as Caitlin
Moore.
She was maried to Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee (from 1986
to 1993) and Richie Sambora, with whom she has a daughter named Ava. Both
marriages ended in divorce.
