Now it seems
that it had been noise for nothing: J.K. Rowling was not able to kill Harry
Potter, although some literature critics had confirmed that could have been an
appropriate way of ending the final book of the famous series. So, “Harry
Potter and the Deathly Hallows” has been finally launched; Harry Potter
survived the rumors, but what happens next with the “boy wizard”, “the boy who
lived”? And what are the fans’ opinions about the seventh and final (!) book
from the “Harry Potter” series?
J.K. Rowling
has seemed to have achieved her finest moment in “Harry Potter and the Deathly
Hallows”, as some fans and critics say. This could be a subtle promise for the
fanatic children and adults that she will someday continue the series with
another book… or two or seven! Although the author has tied up all the winding
plots that have been strewn throughout the series, she has however left a world
of wonders intact and rife for future exploration. All of these facts, added to
Rowling’s words that someday she could return to her “Harry Potter” famous
series, have had the role of maintaining the hopes of the fans.
“Harry Potter
and the Deathly Hallows” has also received an award nomination, as it has sold
millions of books in a matter of days (8.3 million copies in the first 24 hours
of release, more exactly). The book is in the running for the Best Book award
at the United Kingdom’s
first Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards from October. J.K. Rowling’s book will
fight against Darren Shan’s “Blood Beast (The Demonata)”, Holly Black’s “Care
and the Feeding of Spirits (Spiderwick Chronicles)” and Jacqueline Wilson’s
“Jacky Daydream”.
So, although
the series are officially ended with this book, the fans are still thanking the
author for not killing Harry and hoping for Rowling’s returning with another
book. Daniel Radcliffe himself has stated he has been enthusiastic of finding
out whether the character that has made him famous will survive and has added he
is thrilled to start the filming for the other two movies.
