The twins got names! Lisa Marie Presley and her husband,
Michael Lockwood, have chosen to call their two newborn girls Finley and
Harper, a representative for the singer informed PEOPLE.
The twins were born on October 7 and, according to Lisa
Marie Presley’s publicist, Cindy Guagenti, they weighed 5 pounds, 15 ounces and
5 pounds, 2 ounces, respectively.
The King of Rock’n’Roll’s daughter, who has two other
children from her first marriage to musician Danny Keough, Danielle Riley, aged
19, and Benjamin Storm, aged 15, gave birth to Finley and Harper via C-section.
The little girls are the first kids for the 40-year-old Lisa
Marie Presley and the 47-year-old Michael Lockwood. The couple tied the knot
approximately two years ago in Japan.
Michael Lockwood is Lisa Marie Presley’s fourth husband, as,
apart from Danny Keough, the singer was also briefly married to pop icon
Michael Jackson and actor Nicholas Cage.
The famous singer and songwriter first disclosed her
pregnancy last March after a British newspaper published several not-very-uplifting
photographs of her, as well as a report suggesting that Lisa Marie Presley had
inherited her dad’s legendary appetite.
In addition to this, other publications continued the story,
filling it with speculation and attaching the snaps. Following the incident,
Lisa Marie Presley explained on her MySpace blog that she was gaining weight
because she was pregnant, complaining about the reports, which she considered
cruel and mean. After she filed a lawsuit, the British tabloid released an
apology “for any distress caused.”
Nevertheless, the singer did not mention that she was expecting
twins. The “insignificant” detail was disclosed only in August, when the star’s
mom, Priscilla Presley, told Entertainment Tonight that she was becoming the
granny of two.
