Although by far one of the most controversial and troublesome characters in the history of “Lost,” Ana Lucia Cortez, Michelle Rodriguez’s persona, is returning to the show’s upcoming season, according to Entertainment Weekly.

She killed Shannon, her relationship with Jack turned out to be nothing at all, so what’s to love about Ana Lucia? The producers would know the answer to that question.

Michelle Rodriguez is said to come back in the fifth season of “Lost” for at least one episode of the popular series, and her return may happen as soon as episode 2.

However, no further details have been given in what concerns her forthcoming appearance, as the storyline is obviously covered in mystery. Thus, we might as well suppose how she’ll turn up: raised from the dead or in someone’s vision or flashback?

If you ask me, the hallucination alternative would definitely be more appropriate, as her long-lost body has already gone moldy by now.

Nonetheless, putting two and two together, we have no choice than to deduce that Ana Lucia makes her way to a living character’s hallucinations. It’s easy. Both she and Cheech Marin are on the guest list for episode 2, so it’s very likely they show up in Hurley’s mind.

Other options remain open, of course. Whatever the plot proves to be, it should be more than interesting.
