Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry is joining the stream of Hollywood celebrities who have their own perfume line by announcing plans to release her own fragrance soon.

According to reports, the 41-year-old mom-to-be signed a deal with cosmetic giant Coty to develop and advertise her own perfume line.

"Halle is an iconic actress and symbolizes beauty to many generations," said Steve Mormoris, senior vice president of global marketing at Coty Beauty US. "She adds another dimension to the celebrity fragrance market. Halle has always been a little more mysterious, not quite as open with her personal life as some other stars. Her fragrances will allow her to present another facet of her personality to her fans."

The first Berry fragrance products from Coty are expected to launch internationally in spring 2009 and first appear in mid-tier department stores such as J.C. Penney before moving into the mass market.

The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but similar agreements are worth $3 to $5 million.

However, Berry's major concern at the moment is the baby she and her boyfriend Gabriel Aubry are expecting.
