Director Guy Ritchie was at Comic Con 2008 in San Diego, California, to promote his upcoming gangster movie RocknRolla. In a detailed interview with Hollywood.com, Madonna's man said that their marriage is fine and talked about how he became to know London in a different way through her eyes.
Guy Ritchie, 39, also talked about his upcoming film Rocknrolla, which depicts how crime is changing in the current days by immigration of gangsters from abroad. Ritchie said that London is now much more like New York than it used to be, and old school mobsters are being overrun by Eastern Europeans and other gangsters from abroad.
He also said that he frowns upon criminals and has avoided meeting them. Guy Ritche opened up about the next project, Sherlock Holmes, which will be different than other incarnations in that it will be very contemporary.
British director Guy Ritchie is currently helming the Sherlock Holmes project for Warner Bros. The film is slated for an October 2009 release. Robert Downey Jr. is allegedly in final negotiations to don Sherlock Holmes’ cap and pipe in director Guy Ritchie’s big screen adaptation of the Arthur Conan Doyle ethos.
Susan Downey and Joel Silver, who produced Guy Ritchie’s upcoming film “RocknRolla,” were working with the director on “Holmes” and as her actor hubby was in Silver Pictures’ Warner-based offices, he was shown the project and became interested.
