Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen tied the knot with National Football League star Tom Brady during a romantic twilight ceremony in California.
Us Weekly magazine reported on its Web site that the couple’s private wedding took place at the St. Monica Catholic Church in the Los Angeles suburb of Santa Monica on Thursday.
The “very small and intimate” ceremony was attended particularly by immediate family, such as the New England Patriots superstud’s parents, Tom Sr. and Gaylen Brady and his 2-year-old son, John Edward Thomas, by former girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.
The 28-year-old beautiful bride wore a form-fitting strapless ivory lace gown with a trumpet skirt, scalloped borders, long train and veil with embroidered satin roses and a satin headband, all by Dolce & Gabbana, the publication reported. In addition, the supermodel’s dogs wore matching D&G floral lace collars.
The ceremony, which began at sundown, was far from being a big bash, as Gisele Bundchen once explained that her dream wedding ideal consisted of a “simple ceremony” that would bring together the “closest people.”
The Brazilian beauty and the 31-year-old athlete have been dating since 2006. In spite of the fact that engagement rumors emerged late last year, the two have been denying such reports. Celebrity gossip Web site TMZ.com initially announce that Tom Brady popped the decisive question on Christmas Eve, while the couple was on a private plane.
Nevertheless, People magazine subsequently said that the two intended to get married in Costa Rica.
Gisele Bundchen, nonetheless, rejected both rumors. “Someone deduced I was getting engaged...I don’t know how people are so creative,” she told Brazilian magazine Caras Gi last month.
