Gisele Bundchen is the world's top supermodel with estimated
earnings of $35 million during the past year, Reuters reports.
According to Forbes.com, the Brazilian model more than
doubled the estimated $14 million gained by Heidi Klum, who ranked at No.2,
followed by Kate Moss with $7.5 million, Adriana Lima with $7 million and
Doutzen Kroes with $6 million.
“The 27-year-old continues to bag new contracts, noticeably
with Pantene and a cosmetics giant yet to be named. Her face graces ads for
Disney, Nivea, Vogue eyewear and Aquascutum, the U.K.-based luxury line,”
Forbes.com said. “Her line of Grendene sandals, Ipanema by Gisele, banks her
about $6 million a year. And her romance with New England Patriots quarterback
Tom Brady keeps her in the tabloids.”
Forbes added Moss also continues to work for Donna Karan,
Longchamp, Agent Provocateur, Yves Saint Laurent, Roberto Cavalli and Rimmel.
Bundchen, the former girlfriend of Leonardo DiCaprio, ended
her long-standing agreement with Victoria’s
Secret in 2007. However, she still has nearly 20 contracts and has appeared in several
ads for Nivea, Disney and Aquascutum.
Brazilian singer and songwriter Gabriel Guerra, along with
Pedro Cezar, another musician, wrote the song “Tributo a Gisele” (Tribute to
Gisele) which is currently the theme of the supermodel's official website.
According to a research publicized in February 2008 by “The
International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery,” Gisele Bundchen, Angelina
Jolie and Nicole Kidman were the most mentioned celebrities that influence
people’s choices and decisions to undergo plastic surgeries. The supermodel won
the “abdomen” and “hair” categories and was second place in the “breasts”
category.
