The boss of a "Girls Gone Wild" video crew
sexually assaulted a young woman aboard a raunchy-party bus after a shoot in a
bar, the New York Post reported.
While the film crew was recording a wet T-shirt contest,
77-year-old Matthew O'Sullivan gazed at the 20-year-old young woman in the
Nubar tavern in Smithtown , the authorities said.
O'Sullivan required the victim, who was not a contestant in the competition, to
go with him for a bus bash in the Long Island bar's
parking lot at 2 a.m. Thursday.
"She went inside with this guy just to see what was
going on and, subsequently, she was assaulted," stated Suffolk Detective
Lt. Robert Edwards. “It was short of a rape situation, but it was a sexual
assault," the detective added. According to the criminal complaint, District
Court Judge Toni Bean said O'Sullivan, resident of Los
Angeles, forcibly stripped off the woman, pulling down
her shorts and underclothing, and held her throat as he physically attacked
her.
At his arraignment today, prosecutors claimed O'Sullivan and
the injured party began kissing and touching, and this didn’t seem to bother
her.
As maintained by officials, the woman was able to escape as
soon as her pals came on the bus. Her friends called 911 and she managed to
wave to a passing police car. Police officers immediately took O'Sullivan into
custody. He was charged with criminal sexual act in the first degree. If
convicted, he could face up to 25 years in prison.
O'Sullivan was held on $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bond.
Moreover, Judge Toni Bean issued an order of protection for the young woman.
