Giant Sausage Car Got $50 Ticket after Illegally Parked

One of the famous Oscar Mayer Wienermobiles has got a $50 ticket after its driver has parked illegally on the Michigan Avenue. The car has been having its hazard lights on, but that has not saved its driver from having to pay the ticket for violation in a no-parking zone.

The 27-foot sausage car is just one of the several such automobiles that are traveling across the country promoting a contest that dares people to sing the Oscar Mayer’s famous jingle for a new commercial. But although this car is so famous in the United States, parking in a no-parking zone is still against the law and the driver has had to pay. The company’s image, however, has been also affected by the incident. Sydney Lindner, a spokeswoman of Oscar Mayer, has said in a statement that “even if you’re driving a company vehicle that’s shaped like a giant hot dog”, illegal parking is still against the company’s policy.

The Wienermobile was invented by Carl G. Mayer, back in 1936. Carl was the nephew of Oscar Mayer, the creator of the company and brand with the same name, of Oscar Mayer.

Coming in America as a Bavarian immigrant, Oscar Mayer first started working on the meat market from Detroit, Michigan, and in 1883 he started his own business along with his brother.

As their products began to gain popularity, the Mayer brothers’ business grew and became even more popular. Starting with 1963, the Oscar Mayer company started to use an advertising jingle for promoting their products. And although the company is now owned by Kraft Foods, its advertising jingle and the Wienermobile have still remained famous.

In fact, they are still used today by the company for promoting their products. The Wienermobile itself has proved to be a unique way of marketing and advertising.
