The daughter of United States President George W Bush, Jenna, is engaged and will marry Henry Hager, the White House announced.

Jenna, 25, and Henry, 29, have known each other for several years and decided to make the next step in their relationship, but didn’t announce a wedding date. Hager’s father is John H Hager, the former lieutenant governor of Virginia and current chairman of the Republican party in the same state.

The First Twins, as Jenna and her twin sister Barbara are known, took the spotlight several times during their college years after being charged for underage drinking and attempting to use a fake ID in Austin, Texas. But those days seem to be over, as Jenna decided to tie the knot after disappearing from the gossip columns for quite a while.

She graduated in 2004 from the University of Texas with a degree in English and became an elementary school teacher in Washington DC. After a year and a half, Jenna joined the UNICEF’s Educational Policy Department in Latin America in a mission in Panama, where she teaches several days a week.

Along with her mother, First Lady Laura Bush, she is writing a book for children after her first book “Ana's Story: A Journey of Hope” is due to be published in September this year.

Jenna met her fiancé during George Bush’s presidential campaign in 2004. Hager is a graduate at the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, Virginia University and worked a period as a White House aid for Karl Rove.
