Rapper Foxy Brown, who has been serving time in a New York prison, is finally going to be released next week on April 18th, her manager Chaz Williams said.

"They had her on continuous lockdown just because she is a celebrity. They were trying to break her spirit," Williams was quoted by Billboard as saying.

Brown, who served eight out of a twelve-month sentence for attacking a neighbor with blackberry while under probation for getting into a fight with the staff of a beauty saloon, is reportedly in talks to start a reality TV show.

Upon her release, Brown will also prep for the release of her oft-delayed album, "Brooklyn's Don Diva," now due May 13 via Black Rose Entertainment/Black Hand/Koch. "She's going to get on top of her career again. She's ready to hit the ground running and do anything she needs to do to get her career back on point," Williams added.

However, the singer, whose real name is Inga Marchand, won't be completely off the hook as she is due in court on May 5 in connection with the assault charges stemming from the blackberry incident.

"The May hearing is dealing with the Brooklyn case that was still [pending]," Williams explained. "That was from the Brooklyn charge that she had prior to her going in on the parole violation. It’s being resolved. They’re working to resolve it. That charge is still pending resolution by trial or by otherwise."
