It was supermodel Naomi Campbell that made throwing a mobile phone at people that annoyed her famous and now rapper Foxy Brown is confidently following her example.

TMZ reports that 27-year-old rapper Foxy Brown, real name Inga Marchand, recently attacked a female neighbor with her BlackBerry, “channeling her inner Naomi.” The unidentified 25-year-old woman required medical care.

According to the NYPD and Brooklyn District Attorney's Office, the incident occurred on July 30, in the Bronx. Foxy turned herself in to authorities on Tuesday and was booked on charges of felony assault in the second degree, assault in the third degree, menacing, harassment and criminal possession of a weapon.

The heated argument between the rapper and her neighbor ended with Foxy hitting the woman in the face with her Blackberry. The victim was treated at a local hospital for a swollen lip, loose teeth and facial bruises. After receiving treatment, the woman filed a complaint against Foxy.

While the reason for the fight is not yet known, Foxy is free on $5,000 bail. A hearing in the case has been scheduled for Sept. 26, according to reports.

This is not Foxy’s first violent outburst. Some three years ago, the rapper attacked two employees in a nail salon. She was sentenced to three years probation and anger management classes.

She got angry again in a beauty salon earlier this year, violating her probation. According to police, she threw hair glue at an employer and opposed the police officer that was called to the shop. She was charged with battery and obstruction of justice.

The judge ordered her to continue attending anger management classes and take drug tests periodically, continuing her probation.

This new violation could lead to her probation being revoked and a sentence to actual jail time. As Paris Hilton has set a precedent, doing jail time for her own legal misdoings, Foxy has no guarantees that the law will be anymore lenient on her.

According to media reports, Foxy is looking forward to the release of her new album “Black Roses” in early September.
