The iPhone is by far one of those products that will remain in the top selling list for a while and this is because it was cleverly promoted and because it’s a high quality product. Its touchscreen is by far the best, letting the user use two fingers for different commands and surfing the net on Apple’s phone is extremely pleasant.
Unfortunately, Apple’s stubbornness might get in iPhone’s way to be a shinning ray of sunshine in a grey world. The fact that the iPhone lacks Flash is really noticeable and even though users have been asking for it for a while, Apple still refuses to use the Flash player.
Recently, Adobe released the newest flash player that will be used on devices running on Windows Mobile and on Android. Apple fans were disappointed to see that their beloved iPhone wasn’t on the list. Adobe has been working hard to design an application for the iPhone but it is crystal clear that such software would violate Apple’s Terms of Service. Flash is installed on most computers and it has become a real necessity in surfing the web, as most sites use this technology. Refusing to accept Flash might just be the weak spot so many “iPhone killer” manufacturers have dreamt to discover.
It’s a real shame that Apple holds such strict regulations and can’t open up to a piece of technology that would actually make their product even more enjoyable. The lack of a Flash player installed on the iPhone makes the whole Internet experience lack the glamour it deserves.
