Police reported that five people got injured during a shooting which had taken place on Saturday. The nightclub where the terrible event took place had a violent past and the shooting happened after the performance of a rap legend from Bay Area. According to a spokeswoman at Denver Health, one of the injured remained in critical condition after the shooting at 1:45 a.m. outside Vinyl nightclub.

The other four injured people were taken to the hospital, treated and then released on Saturday morning. Yet, Denver police had no clear traces either about the people who had shot or about the cause that had lead to the altercation.

Some witnesses outside the nightclub stated that the shooting took place after the club had been closed and the people had already started to leave down the street. The Vinyl nightclub had hosted a sold-out concert of the rap singer E-40.

Amy McCracken, who lives above the nightclub but hadn’t been present at the concert, stated that the gunfire woke her up and that the gunshots happened in rapid fire. She added that she had jumped up and looked down but the only thing she could see were people running all over.

The woman also said that on Saturday morning when she took her dogs for a walk, someone from the club was washing the sidewalk in an attempt to erase the blood traces. It seems that the nightclub hosts fights every night, according to McCracken.

Kendall Davis, who works as a security guard at the 11th Avenue Hotel near Vinyl nightclub, said that he had seen at least four people wounded by the gunfire on various street corners. He added that one person had been shot in the leg and another one in the neck.
