Apple presented yesterday a series of details concerning the events during the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) which will start on June 9. The opening show, as well as the rest of the event, will take place in San Francisco’s Moscone center and will be hosted by CEO Steve Jobs.
Apparently, a team of Apple executives will introduce the company’s current operating system and will also include sessions on the many features available, such as Multi-Touch, animation and API usage.
Visitors will have a wide variety of options, with more than 150 sessions and labs to choose from during the event’s five days.
"The five-day WWDC event, which runs from June 9 to June 13, will feature the first ever iPhone track for mobile developers with in-depth sessions and hands-on labs to fully explore the capabilities of the OS X iPhone 2.0 software, including the iPhone SDK and the App Store, a breakthrough way for developers to wirelessly deliver their applications to iPhone and iPod® touch users," Apple said in yesterday’s statement, as quoted by the MacObserver.
A general schedule for the event was also shared with the public, and confirmations for the Welcoming Reception, the Apple Design Awards, the Lunchtime Speakers and Stump the Experts were given.
Registration for the WWDC is still open on Apple’s website for an entry fee of $1,595 per person. Attendees must be registered iPhone develpers in order to be accepted.
By the end of the month, further information will be available on the event's programing and guests.
