Mozilla’s Firefox is one of the world’s most used open-source web brewers, as it made a reputation of being reliable, safe, easy to use and computer friendly. Currently Firefox is competing with Google’s Chrome, Safari and Microsoft’s Internet Explorer.
Mozilla constantly releases fixes for reported bugs in its browser, truly making Firefox one of the best web browsers out there. Mozilla is on the verge of releasing a beta version of Firefox 3.1 which will feature some great improvements as Private browsing, which will allow users not to store any information from the web on their computers, and TraceMonkey, which will add native codes to the browser’s Java Script engine. TranceMonkey is said to be a great improvement for those surfing the net using Firefox as the feature will improve Java Script performance.
Firefox 3.1 is said to bring other new improvements, like a more efficient recovery system when the browser crashes. Instead of being able to restore the whole session the user will now be able to select what tabs he wants reopened and what not.
This will make surfing the web and isolating what is causing problems in your computer a lot easier. The Private Browsing feature is also a great improvement as it allows users to move without leaving a trace and even though the feature has been called “Porn Mode”, not leaving your personal trace on the Internet can be useful without referring only to porn sites.
It is not known when the beta version will be released but it is for sure that if not this week, certainly next week Firefox 3.1 beta will see the light of day.
