A 38-year-old man from Phoenix was arrested by Scottsdale police on Wednesday after he tried to get too close to actress Lindsay Lohan.

 

Police say Lohan and gal-pal Samantha Ronson were trying to leave the Jackrabbit Lounge nightclub and security guards were trying to hold back the crowd. The bouncers told police that's when the overzealous fan tried to get around them, pushed one of the guards and became disruptive.

 

"The gentleman became very excited when he realized he was so close to Samantha, and he has a history of being a stalker with Lindsay Lohan, so he immediately attacked her and started yelling 'I love her, I love her,' " said the club's owner, Dan Wierck.

 

Daniel Patrick Combs was detained for a time and later released after being booked on a misdemeanour disorderly conduct charge.

 

However, both the women said they were not even aware of what was happening during the scuffle. "When they got into the car they said 'What the hell was that?' and the two giggled about it a little bit, and I took them back to the Mondrian," said event promoter Jon Gluck, who drove the girls in his SUV. Lohan, 22, and Ronson, 30, told the cops that they had no idea who Combs was.

 

The club's website says that Sam Ronson had DJ'd at the intimate Old Town nightspot as part of the BlackBerry Luxe Club series of events.

 

Lindsay Dee Lohan (born July 2, 1986) besides from being an actress is also a model and a pop music singer. Lohan started in show business as a child fashion model for magazine advertisement and television commercials. At age 10, she began her acting career in the soap opera Another World; at 11, she made her motion picture debut by playing identical twins in Disney's 1998 remake of The Parent Trap. Following that she appeared in several acclaimed movies but has remained off the silver screen since last year's ‘I Know Who Killed Me’.

 

As for her relationship with Samantha Ronson, Lohan opened up about it in December 2008. She stated, "I think it's pretty obvious who I'm seeing... I think it's no shock to anyone that it's been going on for quite some time... She's a wonderful person and I love her very much." While speaking about her sexual orientation, Lohan said she was not a lesbian, but responded "Maybe. Yeah." when asked if she was bisexual. She then added, "I don't want to classify myself." Lohan said her family, with the exception of her father Michael, had been supportive of her relationship with Ronson.
