After having dated each other for three years before they got engaged in December 2007, Fergie and Josh Duhamel finally got married on Saturday, the 10th of January. The romantic sunset wedding took place under magnolia trees filled with thousands of white roses, at the Church Estates Vineyards in Malibu, California.
The Black Eyed Peas singer, whose real name is Stacy Ann Ferguson, alias Fergie, carried a bouquet of white flowers studded with crystals as the couple exchanged H. Stern rings engraved with personal messages. Fergie's specially-designed engagement ring featured a 4-carat brilliant cut diamond set amid other diamonds. A narrowed diamond wedding band completed the set. Her 36-year-old husband’s ring was made of white gold with a brushed finish.
People.com reported that among the invited guests were new parents Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell, Mario Lopez, Stacy Keibler, Kid Rock, Slash, Kate Hudson (Fergie's costar in her upcoming movie “Nine”), her colleagues of Black Eyed Peas and Duhamel's “Las Vegas” costars James Caan, Molly Sims and Vanessa Marcil. They were all informed of the location of the secret wedding on Saturday morning and required not to bring cell phones.
Actually, the wedding kicked off on Wednesday night with a bachelor-bachelorette party at the newly opened Dakota Lounge in Santa Monica. This was followed by a Hawaiian-themed rehearsal dinner on Friday.
The 33-year-old bride wore a stunning white, corseted Dolce & Gabbana wedding gown and her veil was decorated with sparkling diamonds. Ten bridesmaids looked on, dressed in contrasting black, as People.com reported.
The reception was held in a tent filled with lush tropical plants and trees with a ceiling covered in lights. There, guests were able to toast the happy couple and dance to a cover band that played tunes ranging from disco, jazz, pop and R&B.
