A female student killed two fellow students and then took her own life at Louisiana Technical College in Baton Rouge. There is still scarce information but it is known that the shooting took place inside a classroom. According to AP, it was a second-floor classroom inside the vocational college, and the students were shot while they were still sitting in their seats.

"There was mass pandemonium, people running," Sgt. Don Kelly said to the press agency. "One officer — the first into the classroom — told me he could still smell gunpowder."

The first 911 call about the tragic incident came at 8:36 a.m. Other 20 people in the classroom were unhurt. It's unclear whether the two were shot at random or the shooter held something personal against them.

This comes only a day after a teacher from Portsmouth, Ohio, was stabbed by her husband Thursday morning in front of her students, according to authorities. Christi Layne declared that she was terrified of her husband and after separating from him; she got a restraining order and got an alarm system installed at her house.

Also Thursday night, three city officials and two police officers were killed after a gunman entered the City Council meeting room in Kirkwood, Missouri, and opened fire, screaming:  "Shoot the mayor!"
