A female U.S. Navy officer testified in a federal court in Washington that she had sex for money during her duty at the Naval Academy, The Washington Post reported.

Lt. Cmdr. Rebecca C. Dickinson acknowledged in front of the jury that she worked as a call girl for Deborah Jeane Palfrey's escort service. “Renee”- the name she used as a call girl – worked for the escort service for six months and renounced it in 2006 due to "other responsibilities."

"It was getting harder for me to do. I had other responsibilities. I didn't like it. I quit for many reasons. Partly because of other commitments," said Dickinson before the jury.

The 38-year-old U.S. Navy officer now faces charges of racketeering, money laundering and using the mail for illegal purposes.

Dickinson also told the court that she serviced the clients of the escort service for rates of $250-$300 per hour.

Her testimony surely surprised many people who knew her, or thought they did. Dickinson
was on track for a great career. She enlisted in the Navy in 1986. After she graduated Auburn University in 1993, Dickinson was commissioned an officer. She had two Navy/Marine Corps Commendation medals and four Navy/Marine Corps Achievement medals.

After these scandalous facts came to light, she was fired from her position as instructor at the Naval Supply Corps School.

Dickinson is the 13th girl who admitted to have worked for Palfrey and the fourth who testified against her in the government's case.

Palfrey repeatedly said that she is running a legal “adult fantasy” business and the girls who work for her signed contracts pledging they wouldn’t get caught doing anything illegal.
