Kevin Federline’s lawyer has gone on record to say that his
client will not seek a family court’s involvement in the weekend
hospitalization of son Jayden James, who was in Kentwood with mom Britney Spears.
Britney Spears took sons Jayden James, 2, and Sean Preston,
3, for a family visit in Kentwood, Louisiana, this weekend, the first trip out of California since losing
custody to former husband Kevin Federline in July.
The family reunion with parents Lynne and Jamie Spears and
siblings Jamie Lynn and Bryan was troubled though by Jayden’s severe allergic
reaction to something he ate Sunday and his subsequent hospitalization.
The little boy spent Sunday night at the hospital, with his
mom and grandma, and was released the following day, free to continue his
vacation.
Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told E! that his
client would not ask a family court to investigate the matter, as he was not
going to “jump to conclusions right now.” Kaplan said he anticipated the
situation to be discussed by Britney and Kevin “as concerned parents” and for
them to label the incident as a “freak occurrence.”
The incident did get sufficient media coverage, with some
pondering on Britney’s ability to take care of her children but it does appear
to have been much ado about nothing. The lawyer added Federline had considered
flying to Louisiana
when he learned his youngest was in the hospital but there was no emergency and
Jayden had already left the medical facility by that time.
By Tuesday, the Spears family was back in fun mode, with
Britney taking her sons to a wild alligator farm in Hammond, La.
not far from the family home. Jamie Lynn and daughter Maddie also joined the
group.
