Saturday night, a man was shot on U.S. Highway 101 near
Corte Madera.
Police began the investigation on Sunday, saying that the
27-year-old man was from San Leandro
and he was also a Hells Angels associate.
According to San Jose Mercury News, he was returning from a
Hells Angels funeral which was in Daly
City.
Marin
County sheriff's office Sgt.
Keith Boyd said that the victim was a passenger in a white Chevrolet pickup truck and
he was in front of a group of Hells Angels Motorcycle Club riders. The incident happened around 8 p.m.
Authorities reported that the person who shot the
27-year-old man was in a red sport utility vehicle, maybe a Dodge Durango. He
started shooting between Tiburon
Boulevard and the Paradise Drive exit.
The driver of the pickup truck and a member of the motorcycle group exited
the highway and called for help. The victim was then transported to Marin General
Hospital and pronounced
dead.
Boyd said that a fight might have taken place before the shooting, but
investigators are still trying to find out whether this was related to the
motorcycle gang or its activities, reported San Jose Mercury News.
No one has been arrested and people who have helpful
information are asked to call the Sheriff's Department at (415) 499-7265.
