Ubisoft says it will. At least this is the launch date featured on the very official site, in the section allocated to the upcoming sequel for Far Cry.
I admit that this is not exactly breaking news, considering that the producer of the game, Luis-Pierre Pharand, had confirmed this to UbisoftTV back in November. But after the positive fiscal results reported by Ubi recently, no one expected the disappointing announcement concerning Far Cry 2’s push to Q3 2008.
However, as you can probably see in the picture associated to this news, Ubisoft’s official site still indicates that Jack Carver’s African adventure will be rolled out in March next year. We don’t know yet if this is a certain fact (could be that someone at Ubisoft forgot to update the page), but we made inquiries in this domain and we’ll hopefully have some clarifications soon.
In the mean time, to make things even more confusing, Amazon says that Far Cry 2 will be launched on October 31, 2008, while GameStop goes with March 25, 2008…
