Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony are not the only ones "over the moon" by the arrival of their twins, Anthony's sister is as thrilled and delighted as the two proud parents, People reported.
"I learned this morning. I'm ecstatic, I really am. I'm happy for her," Yolanda Santa Maria, Anthony's older sister, was quoted by People as saying regarding the happy news.
"She's a mom for the first time. I can just imagine the euphoria she's going through," added Yolanda, who expects to meet the babies soon. "I can't wait to see them, I can't wait to meet them. Words don't even begin to express how happy I am for them."
Also sharing their joy and excitement was her brother who noted that "It's another two blessings for him. He beat me – I have four [kids] and now he has five. I'm so happy for him. I don’t even know what to say. It's like if I had the babies."
The 38-year-old singer delivered the twins early Friday morning at Northshore Hospital in Long Island, where she reportedly checked in Wednesday. She had a girl weighing in at 5 lbs. 7 oz. at 12:12 am, and a boy at 12:23 am who weighed 6 lbs.
"Jennifer and Marc are delighted, thrilled and over the moon," Lopez's manager Simon Fields said in a statement.
The couple, who married in 2004, kept the baby news a secret until November last year, when Jennifer unexpectedly went public about it during a concert in Miami, Fla. Speculation that Lopez was going to give birth to twins was confirmed by her father last month.
"It's a dream come true," a Lopez source was quoted by Usmagazine.com as saying of her pregnancy. "She and Marc are over the moon."
