Fallout 3 Ships 4.7 Million Copies

The Fallout 3 game has managed to stir a real mania among gamers, the game generating revenue for Bethesda of approximately $300 million dollars. The fallout series have been regarded one of the best RPG games ever created, gamers creating a real cult for the series and Bethesda was really under the pressure of filling the shows of the previous games which started a real gaming revolution in their time.

The Fallout video games are set in a post apocalyptic future which is heavily influenced by the 50’s fear of nuclear weapons. The series consisted of two RPGs, Fallout and Fallout 2, a tactical RPG seen in “Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel” and one action dungeon-crawler released for the Playstation and Xbox, fallout: Brotherhood of Steel.”

The Fallout 3 game has been released on all major gaming platforms, including on PC and according to the statistics released by Bethesda, 4.7 million copies of the RPG were shipped into shops worldwide. The game was released on October 28th at midnight and some shops held special parties to celebrate its release. Some compare this newly released game to the hype Halo 3 created upon its release.

The reviews for fallout 3 are largely positive as the game exposes beautiful graphics an enticing story and gameplay that is addictive and well integrated. There are many who thing that a good game is defined by the balance between story and graphics and it seems that Bethesda understood this perfectly and Fallout 3 follows the recipe perfectly.
