Fall Is the Season for Honesty: Lindsay Gay, Dad Angry, Actress Hits Back

It seems that in celebrity-land fall is the season for confessions and sincerity. Declarations keep on coming and, surprisingly or not, they all turned out to be gay. Who would have thought? First Clay Aiken, now Lindsay Lohan. Some of us knew it all along. Of course, we did not have the strongly acknowledged certainty everybody is looking for, but sometimes mere guesses are more important than thin confessions.

These simple hunches are the ones to be followed by speculations, rumors, gossip and lots of buzz. They subsequently turn into reports rejected by the stars’ representatives or publicists and, eventually, lead to an honest and clean confession by the celebrity himself/herself.

It’s not that difficult, really. Evidently, when public figures come out and turn upside down the closets in which they kept their secrets, a lot of fuss is created. Although in the end it will prove to be much ado about nothing, this is the way things go and you can’t stop it.

Following Lindsay Lohan’s Monday night’s “I am gay” confession, papers filled the stands, online reports blocked fans’ computers and daddies started talking, obviously.

Michael Lohan can’t leave things the way the are. Ever. And Samantha Ronson is the one to blame. For what? For everything.

Michael Lohan hates to waste time when time means getting his daughter back on the right (straight) track. Thus, he sent his latest attack via e-mail to Fox’s Pop Tarts just to make sure the Michael Lohan-like comments aren’t forgotten. In his much talked about e-mail, the actress’ dad wrote that his daughter’s supposed girlfriend is “hideous” and “disgusting,” accusing DJ Samantha Ronson of being the evil brain behind Lindsay’s most recent MySpace blog entries. However, Michael Lohan did not stop here. He continued to offend the disc jockey and criticize her lifestyle, the way she dresses and the apartment she is living in.

This is not the first time Michael Lohan accuses Samantha Ronson of being a negative influence in Lindsay’s life, as he claims Samantha was the one to generate his daughter’s once-upon-a-time drinking issues.

As everything runs in the family, Lindsay Lohan herself could not leave her father’s comments unanswered. Therefore, the actress told a newspaper that her dad should be “on medication” to hold sway over his moods.

The 22-year-old star, who has been living with Samantha Ronson for some months now, avoided to make clear the nature of her relationship with Samantha until Monday. In her interview with the newspaper, Lindsay Lohan added that the 31-year-old disc jockey was far from being evil and that their feelings were mutual.

The actress made her confession on Monday night’s episode of the “Loveline” syndicated radio show, when her supposed girlfriend called in to talk about the plane crash in which DJ AM and ex-Blink 182 drummer were involved. Nevertheless, Lindsay got to say a few words too and, guess what, she said it. The star confessed that she and Samantha Ronson had been dating “for a very long time.”

Well, that wraps things up. Who knows? Maybe the headlines tomorrow will reveal yet another great gay-related confession.
