Apple Insider announced that several electronics stores across Thailand recently began selling knockoff iPhone Nanos, all of them fitting the profile of the new rumored Nano, which so far has not been officialy introduced on the market. The fact that there is no clear idea on the design of Apple’s new product represents a very good opportunity for all these makers of fake devices, who can put out amost anything with Apple’s logo and find someone to sell it to.
Many of the products actually include all the known official design features and the company’s labeling and branding, making it difficult to spot the fakes even after looking closely. Moreover, the operating system of the devices fully mimics the iPhone’s, down to the icons and wallpapers.
The authorities have a hard time dealing with the release of these products, as the manufacturers are extremely difficult to identify.
There are some posting replies to these reports who claim that the products are 100 percent real and whoever finds them in a store should surely buy one. The explanation given is that Apple’s factories are all in the area and one of the shipments, prepared for the upcoming release event, must have been snatched and released on the market by some of he workers looking to make a quick buch.
No matter what you may believe, the best thing to do is to wait for the official release before buying such a device, which will surely appear on other markets in the near future.
