FBI Arrests Couple in Armored Car Heist

According to the FBI, a couple wanted in the disappearance of $7 million in cash and checks from an armored car company was arrested in West Virginia on Saturday.

FBI Special Agent Scott Wilson said that the two, Roger Lee Dillon, 22, and his girlfriend, Nicole N. Boyd, 24, were arrested outside Berkeley early Saturday morning.

“A large sum of money” was recovered by the agents at the time of the arrest, the Associated Press informs.

On Monday the disappearance of the money was discovered at an armored car garage of AT Systems International. Dillon was an employee there for less than a year.

Police was called by two drivers who discovered the empty safes.

Dillon was charged with bank larceny, and his girlfriend, Boyd, was charged with aiding and abetting, according to the FBI.

A news conference is to going to be held by the FBI on Monday.

According to officials, the alarm system was deactivated, safes were opened and emptied. Afterwards the alarm was again reactivated.

On Tuesday Dillon didn’t show up for work.

In Salem, Ohio, his pick up truck was found in a parking lot, after it was recognized by one resident from the papers, according to police.

On Thursday it was towed by the FBI.

A representative of Garda said that Dillon began working less than one year ago at AT Systems International’s Liberty office. Garda is the company that purchased AT Systems in April.

AT Systems offered a reward of $100,000 for any information that could lead to Dillon’s arrest and conviction.

Wilson said that he didn’t know if anyone will receive the reward due to the arrest.
