Former Beatle Paul McCartney, 65, seems to have left
behind the messy story of his divorce with former model Heather Mills and passed
to something more enjoyable for his single life.
The former Beatle was pictured last week kissing Nancy Shevell,
a member of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority board since 2001,
according to The Sun of London, which published the picture.
Shevell, 47, is separated from her husband Bruce A. Blakeman,
a prominent Nassau County lawyer and a member of the Board of the Port
Authority of New York and New Jersey.
She is now a vice president of her family’s business New England Motor
Freight, of Elisabeth, N.J., and the Shevell Group of Companies.
McCarteny and Shevell spent the last weekend together in the
Hamptons, according
to The Sun. They had a romantic dinner at an East Hampton
restaurant on Friday that lasted until 3 a.m., visited each other's homes on Saturday
and embraced at a café on Sunday. The weekend ended romantically with the two
of them kissing before arriving at her mansion.
McCartney paid Shevell a previous visit in October at her London hotel room while
he and his former wife Heather Mills were in the midst of their divorce as the New
York Daily News reports.
A source told People: "They have known each other for a
while. They are just friends.”
“Paul is a free man and can do what he wants,” ex-wife
Heather Mills told Extra.
