The high expectations for Disney’s new musical show Camp Rock seem to be in order as the new original release, expected to air on June 20, has all the ingredients needed to becoma a major success.
First of all, staring the three super popular Jonas Brothers: Jeo, Nick and Kevin will surely be enough of a reason for many to watch the show.
The story involves a young talented girl played by Demi Lovato who has to put a lot of hard work into attending a prestigious music camp. Once in, she meets a rocker (Joe Jonas) who is trying to make a name for himself. The process is spiced up with incidents with the rich kids and making new friends along the way, not to mention the performances put on by the young artists.
The release of the new musical has been heavily promoted by Disney for the past several months, building up the expectancies.
The brothers appeared very happy with their work on the project and the results, considering it a great experience and saying that such acting activities will surely be part of their future plans. They are already preparing their own show called J.O.N.A.S. and will soon begin a summer tour entitled Burning Up.
The Jonas Brothers will also benefit from the show’s success on a different level as the Camp Rock show will be a momentum builder for the upcoming August release of their album A Little Bit Longer.
The premiere is expected to break the audience numbers drew by the premiere of High School Musical 2 in 2007, which managed to bring together a total of 17.3 million viewers in the United States. The original High School Musical premiere only had an audience of about eight million viewers.
