Contrary to numerous media reports, the paramedics and fire truck called at Brad Pitt's home in San Feliz had nothing to do with any of the Jolie-Pitt family members.
It was reported late on Thursday that an ambulance and a fire truck were seen driving near Brad Pitt's house in the Los Angeles neighborhood of San Feliz at around 5 p.m.
Onlookers told OK! magazine that the vehicles pulled up to Pitt's gate and were let inside by one of the actor's security team members. After 15 minutes, the ambulance left for a local hospital with an elderly man, who was not yet identified. Police arrived within minutes.
Although a spokeswoman for Los Angeles City Fire Department confirmed to OK! that they responded to a 9-1-1 call to Pitt's house, it was reported later on by celebrity gossip website TMZ.com that the emergency call was not made from Pitt's home, but from a neighboring residence.
"Everyone at the Brangelina compound is OK," Brad Pitt's rep told TMZ in a statement.
Pitt, who has been in Berlin shooting Quentin Tarantino's film "Inglourious Basterds," returned to Los Angeles to celebrate his 45th birthday.
The actor was rumored to receive a new Ducati motorcycle from his partner Angelina Jolie. The vehicle reportedly costs only $12,000, which is a lot less than the gift she gave him for his last birthday, which was said to be worth $100,000. The gift was reportedly ordered from Italy months ago, and the model is not out in Ducati stores yet.
As for Christmas presents, Brad Pitt recently revealed that he and his six children with Angelina Jolie like to exchange home-made gifts instead of purchasing expensive things kids normally ask for. Angelina, who is known for her love of body art, is said to be giving Brad a new tattoo designed by the actor's favorite architect, Frank Gehry.
