Rapper Eve previously arrested for driving under the influence pled no contest in court on Thursday. The charges stemmed from an incident last month when she crashed her car on Hollywood Boulevard.
As previously reported, Eve, who did not attend Tuesday’s hearing, was arrested and taken to Los Angeles County Jail after her gold Maserati crashed into a concrete center divider.
She was arrested at the scene, and later freed from jail after posting $30,000 bail. Her next court appearance was scheduled for June 28th.
The 28-year-old star is facing a maximum of six months in jail and a minimum $1,000 fine.
Eve who used to work as a stripper, made her debut in the music industry after she became a protégé of gangsta rapper Dr. Dre. She released several solo albums, including 2001’s "Scorpion" and "Eve-Olution" in 2002.
In 2001, Eve won a Grammy for the single "Let Me Blow Ya Mind", which she recorded with Gwen Stefani.
Her acting credits include movies like "Barbershop," and "Barbershop 2: Back in Business."
