"Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria and her fiancé, basketball champion Tony Parker, tied the knot today during a civil ceremony in Paris in front of about 40 friends.
"It was very joyous, very nice," mayor of Paris' 4th District, Dominique Bertinotti who presided the ceremony, said. "The atmosphere was very warm and very authentic."
The 32-year-old gorgeous looking actress sported a pink Chanel dress with striped black and white straps which she replaced with a short white dress later for the ceremony.
Parker, the 25-year-old San Antonio Spurs Belgium-born star, arrived about 10 minutes after his fiancée, wearing a dark suit. Accompanying him was French soccer star Thierry Henry.
The two, who got engaged last November, will reportedly have a second ceremony at the church of Saint-Germain l’Auxerrois in Paris - followed by a star-studded party at a 17th Century chateau - on tomorrow’s auspicious date: 7/7/7.
Although the guest list hasn’t been made public, it’s expected to include Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jamie Foxx, Lionel Richie and Longoria’s Desperate Housewives co-stars.
The couple have secured a deal to sell their wedding photos to OK! magazine for a reported $2million.
Speaking with the reporters after the ceremony, Parker didn’t show much enthusiasm for the wedding, saying "I don’t care where I’m going to get married. It’s a girls’ day."
However, Parker who considers himself "the luckiest guy in the world," revealed that he is looking forward to having children.
"That would be even better than my NBA titles, even if I don't compare private life and sports. Eva talks to me about it all the time. I'd like to have girls, because I come from a world of boys."
