Actor Ethan Hawke and wife Ryan Shawhughes welcomed daughter
Clementine Jane Hawke last Friday, the actor’s representative Mara Buxbaum told
USmagazine.com. Clementine is the couple’s first baby. Ethan Hawke, 37, has two
more children, 10-year-old daughter Maya and 6-year-old son Levon, with his
ex-wife actress Uma Thurman.
Ryan Shawhughes, 28, is the former nanny of the ex-couple.
The current couple confirmed the pregnancy in January and they married last
month in New York,
in a small ceremony.
“They are thrilled,” Mara Buxbaum said when the news was
first announced. A family member said that the two would make good parents.
“They both love children, and they love each other ... I know they are
thrilled.”
Ethan Hawke, Texas-native American actor, writer and film
director played in movies like “Dead Poets Society,” “Before Sunrise,” “Gattaca,”
“The Newton Boys,” “Great Expectations” and many others. He was also
nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2001 when he
played in “Training Day.”
Uma Thurman, whom Hawke was married to for six years,
announced her engagement to Swiss multimillionaire Arpad Busson.
The Academy Award-nominated actress, best known for her
roles in Quentin Tarantino’s “Pulp Fiction” and “Kill Bill,’ is at her third
marriage. She was also married to actor Gary Oldman. Thurman, 38, also had a
three-year relationship with hotel magnate André Balazs before hooking up with
Busson. Busson is a Swiss financier, the son of another prominent
financier father, Pascal Busson.
