Film producer Daniel Sadek used to be the proud owner of a rare Ferrari Enzo but now he’s just broken-hearted over the ‘demise’ of his prized possession.
Comedian Eddie Griffin is the culprit that led the car to its untimely departure. The 38-year-old actor was practicing Monday for a charity race to promote his upcoming film “Redline” when he drove too fast around a curve at the Irwindale Speedway.
The vehicle practically went head-on into a concrete barrier, but Griffin was uninjured. He was quickly checked out by paramedics at the scene. The film's publicist, Wendy Zocks, said Griffin “walked away completely unscratched, but probably a little shaken.”
The incident caused substantial damage to the front of the Ferrari, with the front left portion of the car completely smashed in. The vehicle was subsequently declared totaled.
Sadek, whose exotic car collection is featured in the movie, said: “'I'm glad Eddie came out of the crash OK, but my dream car got destroyed.’I went to my trailer for about 15 minutes and I thought, 'There's people dying every day. A lot of worse things are happening in the world.'”
Heartfelt. The red sports car was one of just 400 Enzo's made between 2002 and 2004.
