Emma Watson Says 'Yes' To Going Nude On Screen

What better way is there to wash away the innocence your audience knows you for, than stripping off your clothes? Not yet a woman but not a little girl anymore, "Harry Potter" star Emma Watson is ready show off her naked body in a movie, if her role would require her to do so.

If it worked for her "Harry Potter" co-star, Daniel Radcliffe, who bared it all countless times in front of a live audience in Peter Shaffer's celebrated play "Equus," the same trick might work for Watson.

Asked by the Times of London if she would strip for a role, the all grown up actress said "Yes," without too much hesitation, with one condition though, "For Bernardo Bertolucci. It... depends. I'm not getting my kit off any time soon, but it is part of my job."

Trying to explain her decision, the young star revealed she is aware of the issues her tender age presents, "I'm at a strange age. I'm not a woman yet, but I'm not a girl any more. "

In the meantime however, the "tiny and pretty and delightfully brought up" actress, as the newspaper described her, is busy finishing up her role as Hermione Granger in the movie adaptations of J.K. Rowling's final two books of the "Harry Potter" saga. She has also voiced a character, Princess Pea, in the upcoming mouse cartoon "The Tale of Despereaux."

Watson's acting career is not the only thing on her mind at the moment, she eagerly wants to continue studying and going to college, as she stated in previous interviews.

"I’m going to have a battle on my hands, because after Harry Potter has finished, I don’t know," she said. "I definitely want to go to university," to study English.

For someone like Watson, who made her acting debut when she was 11 years old, fame became part of her life but she insists she has a lot more going on than that.

"I have a really supportive family and a full life away from Harry Potter. It's unlikely that I'll be part of anything this big ever again, so I need to deal with that," Watson explained, " I'm not going to take a job just because, I'm not doing anything else."

The 18-year-old, who has recently replaced Keira Knightley as the face of Chanel perfume Coco Mademoiselle, also spoke about the pressure she felt to date her "Harry Potter" co-stars, Daniel Radcliffe or Rupert Grint, calling the public "desperate for it."

In recent interviews, the actress expressed her desire and excitement to do other roles beyond Potter, although she admitted it's going to be "bittersweet" leaving the character behind. Her name is linked to a new film called "Napoleon and Betsy," which will hopefully get shot in 2010, according to Watson.
