On an outer-“View” mission, the co-host of the ABC Emmy
Award-winning ABC talk show, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, showed once again her
support for Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin by introducing her
on Sunday at the campaign rallies in Florida.
In spite of the fact that some of her arguments in favor of
Ms. Palin were not very convincing, Elisabeth Hasselbeck managed to stir
supporters of John McCain and was applauded throughout her “sassy” speech.
She talked about Sarah Palin’s great outfits, explaining
that opponents should talk about the wonderful things the governor would do for
women, as well as the country instead of picking on her sense of fashion.
Hasselbeck joked by saying that she was happy she was able to talk for about
five minutes without being interrupted, referring to the fact that she is
continuously being interrupted by her co-hosts during “The View.”
Elisabeth Hasselbeck announced her presence at the rallies
in Florida during her television
show on Thursday. She said that she felt honored to attend the event and
introduce Ms. Palin, adding that she would have fresh information the day
following the meeting.
Co-host Joy Behar could not help it and made fun of her
colleague on the air. In addition, she said she was eager to see “her
wardrobe,” a not-so-subtle remark with regard to the GOP’s $150,000 spending on
designer clothes, as well as beauty services for Ms. Palin.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck has been a dependable figure pro John
McCain on the well-known ABC program. She even wore a McCain T-shirt (“Great
AmeriMcCain Hero”) on the set last week, and argued with her co-hosts over her
open choice for the GOP ticket.
