Already as the woman who caused Eliot Spitzer to resign as Governor of New York, Ashley Dupre, is considering a $2 million deal from producer David Krieff to have her own reality TV show, similar to "Dr. Phil."
According to the New York Post, Dupre was approached by TV producer David Krieff in connection with a show which had the backing of an unnamed TV network.
"It's a seven-figure deal," said Krieff, who once brought together rival ice skaters Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding for a TV special. "There could be a book. It's an overall exclusive-rights deal. As far as I know, it's the only deal she's considering."
Apparently, the former call girl turned celebrity was looking for a show that would focus on her career goals, which include becoming a journalist or a lounge singer. In fact, she already put together a sort of guidance "team" and nixed the notion of a Tila Tequila-style MTV show.
"She's very analytical. She wants to help people. She sees herself as a kind of Dr Phil," Krieff he told the newspaper.
If Dupre does land the deal, it will include a two-hour interview in which Dupre would talk about her secret double life as "Kristen," a pricey prostitute whose alleged hook-up with Spitzer at a D.C. hotel on Feb. 13 ruined his career.
As the scandal with Eliot Spitzer cools toward tepid, it is rather hard to imagine Dupre getting a better deal, no matter how many more times paparazzi "catch" her in a hotel with a married construction heir or on the beach in a bikini.
