Space exploration is beginning to be more and more complex as people start discovering new things related to the Universe and to the solar system we are living in. We now know that Mars holds glaciers and that traces of ice have been discovered on the red planet, so life may be possible, in the form of small bacteria.
The International Space station is doing just fine, as astronauts have been experimenting with a water recycling system, that can transform urine, sweat and moist into drinkable water and accommodations have been made to host a larger crew. Space is beginning to look a bit brighter and because of this the European Space Agency has signed an agreement to open a research centre in Oxfordshire.
The research centre will focus on robots which will be sent on Mars in order to search for life forms of for proof that shows that life on Mars once existed. The Oxfordshire research Centre will also focus on designing new power sources, as the world is in great need for a new more efficient power source, than the old, fossil fuels.
European Ministers and one Minister from Canada have settled the budget for this project, allocating a total of 10 billion Euros. This might sound like a lot of money being invested into some poetic dream of discovering the mysteries of outer space, but it is well known that when in crisis, the best investment is to fund the future.
All in all, the new Research Centre in Oxfordshire will be a gem of high end technology, and with a bit of luck the project will manage to meet all of its goals.
