Sex addict? Not anymore. David Duchovny is apparently out of
rehab and back on track. Back in August, the 48-year-old actor announced that
he was entering a rehabilitation facility for sex addiction and requested the media
to respect his and his family’s privacy. That failed to stop the buzz, however,
and everybody started talking about the “X-Files’” star’s seeming problem.
But everything looks good for the actor and his wife, Tea
Leoni. They were spotted at the New York Czech Festival on Manhattan’s Upper
East Side on Saturday as they were posing for a photograph being taken by
festival volunteer Ivana Kovarova, the New York Daily News reported.
David Duchovny and his spouse seemed close in spite of the
fact that their relationship was said to be on the rocks due to the former’s
sex addiction.
The “Californication” star’s attorney, Stanton “Larry” Stein
informed People magazine that his client was out of the center and “about to
start a new movie.”
However, no further information was offered. Mr. Stein did
not disclose the name of the facility where the actor received medical
treatment or when he was released.
Early this year, David Duchovny won a Golden Globe Award for
best actor in a comedy for his performance in the Showtime television series
“Californication.” In the show, he plays Hank Moody, a troubled novelist and
single dad who is somehow obsessed with sex.
David Duchovny has been married to actress Tea Leoni for
approximately 11 years now and they have two children together: 9-year-old
Madelaine West and 6-year-old Kyd.
