A female bus driver was charged on Friday with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct after she got into a fight that involved three students on an Arizona school bus, MyFoxPhoenix.com reported.
The local police also charged a 15-year-old girl involved in the brawl with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct and the other two teens - 14- and 16-year-old – face charges of disorderly conduct.
The whole fight was recorded on the security video camera installed in the school Higley Unified School District bus. A copy of the video was released by the Gilbert police on Tuesday. The recording shows the bus driver arguing with a Williams Field High School girl. The disagreement between the two escalated in a brawl which lasted about 15 minutes.
The female bus driver was identified as Kim Sullivan.
Both were very bellicose and the brawl between the two escalated especially after Sullivan took the girl's cell phone and called for security. Another student called 911 after the bus had stopped. One of the three girls which got involved in the brawl was Sullivan’s daughter, who tried to help her mother and grabbed her opponent by her hair.
Police are investigating the three girls and the 54-year-old bus driver in connection with the situation.
