Hollywood has seen quite a lot of the weirdest pairings, but some say the latest from Drew Barrymore might just be a winner. The Charlie Angel reportedly got hot and heavy with “Gossip Girls” star Ed Westwick, a rather newbie to the business, compared to Drew’s years of experience. And by business we mean both the love and the movie affairs.
The actress, who is still young and fabulous, and Westwick, young and fabulous as well, were spotted kissing passionately at the Kings of Leon concert, at Webster Hall in Manhattan on Tuesday Night and quickly became a greater attraction than the band on the stage. They were also seen together partying at the Saturday Night Live after-party and witnesses say there was definite chemistry between the two and that they were apparently “all over each other.”
Also known as a member of the English rock band The Filthy Youth (well, the name says it all…), Westwick became famous as the cynical and world-weary, Chuck Bass, a character in the popular teen drama Gossip Girls, and he’s only 21.
Drew, on the other side, first began acting when she was 11 months old and by the age of 13 years she was already checking into rehab for several drug habits. She is considered more of a serial dater, rather than a settle-down kind of gal, as she had a string of boyfriends, including The Strokes' drummer Fabrizio Moretti and actors Justin Long and Jamie Walters and was married twice, both times briefly, even by Hollywood measure.
Her first husband was the Welsh bartender turned bar owner Jeremy Thomas, but that only lasted from March 20 to April 28, 1994 while her second hubby was comedian Tom Green and their relationship lasted a bit longer, from July 7, 2001 to October 15, 2002.
Now recovering after her last breakup, Drew’s eyes seem to wonder to the Hollywood newcomers, as fellow “Charlie’s Angels” star Demi Moore did in her May-September marriage with pretty (young) boy Ashton Kutcher. If it worked out for Demi, why wouldn’t it work for Drew?
