"Desperate Housewives" actor, Dougray Scott and his fiancée actress Claire Forlani tied the knot on June 8, during a private civil ceremony at the Council Common Hall of Pievebovigliana.

"It was very romantic," the actor told People at the time. "I feel so lucky to have met her. She's an amazing actress and human being. I'm very happy."

The couple who have been engaged since September 2006 drove to the home of the bride's father in Pievebovigliana, Italy for a reception that was enjoyed by over 100 friends and family members, according to People magazine.

"They're both very excited," a source told the magazine.

The 35-year-old "Meet Joe Black" actress wore a classic white strapless gown by designer Junko Yoshioka for Bonaparte-NY and Jimmy Choo high heels.

Forlani’s father, Pierluigi, told an Italian newspaper that he had helped his daughter make the preparations for the reception.

"I will be the official cook of the event," he told Italian newspaper Il Resto del Carlino at the family's country home in Pievebovigliana.
