After exciting seasons filled with twists of events, ever-rotating bad guys, breathtaking scenes, characters who come back to life and, of course, the necessary love story, it is time for hit series Prison Break to come to an end. The series has been on for four years, and the gripping first season had millions of viewers on the edge of their seats. Although the initial plot involved two brothers getting out of prison, the action soon extended beyond the walls of Fox River prison, and into another prison, Sona, after a scavenger hunt for some hidden millions of dollars.

 

When writing a script for a show based on riveting action, you must be careful not to drag a subject on for too long, as you risk boring the formerly-captivated audience. Also, you have to avoid changing the subject too much, as the public may lose interest in the new plot and walk away after the denouement of the original plot.

 

Fans may be disappointed, but it has been proven time and time again by countless series that haven’t been taken off the air at the right time and were shut down in the middle of a developing situation. This being said, fans should be happy that Prison Break won’t go down the same road.

 

But it’s not all sad news coming from Fox. The last episode of Prison Break will air on April 17^th, yet Fox is preparing to air a new show, called Dollhouse. The new show is a sci-fi drama, starring Eliza Dushku (The Alphabet Killer).
