Meg Ryan’s remarks about Dennis Quaid’s infidelity made the American actor furious. His ex-wife talked about their divorce while she was endorsing "The Women."

Ms. Ryan said that her ex-husband was unfaithful to her for a long period and it was very painful to her. As a consequence, she had an affair with Australian actor Russell Crowe. Ryan’s dishing out surprised and infuriated Dennis Quaid.

"It was eight years ago, and I find it unbelievable that Meg continues publicly to rehash and rewrite the story of our relationship," the 54-year-old actor told The New York Daily News.

Ryan, who plays a scorned wife in her latest film, gave details to In Style about the period during which her marriage with Quaid turned sour and eventually ended in a divorce.

"Dennis was not faithful to me for a long time, and that was very painful,” the 46-year-old actress said.

But she did not stop there. She mentioned her divorce from Quaide to ABC's Diane Sawyer.

"I just feel like every now and then you have to fill in the gaps for people," she added.

Quaid was very upset about Ryan’s remarks and details and told The New York Daily News that she feels terrible because their son, Jack, was reminded publicly of “the turmoil and pain that every child feels in a divorce."

The actor married real estate agent Kimberly Buffington. They are now parents of twins after giving birth last November. Quaid described his current situation as great because he has a “happy, beautiful family.”
