Denise Richards simply can’t get enough of fighting
ex-husband Charlie Sheen. This time she went in court on Thursday to request an
emergency order that would restrict Charlie’s access to their two daughters,
Sam, 4, and Lola, 3.
The 37-year-old actress claimed there were some serious
issues at the actor’s home that needed to be evaluated before the children
could go and visit their father.
Sheen’s attorney, Mrtin Singer told E!
News that, despite the fact that Denise kept saying in public that it was
good for the children to have their father around, she actually was “constantly
trying to deprive Charlie from seeing the children.” Singer said he supposed
that strategy was good for her reality show.
Judge Steinberg did not grant the emergency order, but
Denise said she planned to re-file on Monday, when the regular judge returns
from vacation.
This was not a matter of “forum shopping,” Richards’
attorney Neal Hersh insists, as Judge Steinberg did not deny the actress’
request, but only deferred a decision to Judge Silberman who is the judge
assigned to this case.
Singer confirmed that on Monday, there would be an emergency
hearing on the issues that Richards is concerned about. He also said, as TMZ
reports, that he hoped that Charlie Sheen would be in court on Monday. That is,
“if he takes these matters seriously regarding his children, like Denise does.”
