Demi Moore shared her secret to her unconventional yet happy family life in the upcoming issue of Harper's Bazaar.
The 45-year-old Hollywood actress, who graces the magazine's pages alongside her three daughters, Scout, 16, Tallulah, 14, and Rumer, 19, spoke freely about some of the most discussed issues regarding her life, including her family that contains both her actual husband, Ashton Kutcher, who's 15 years younger than her and her ex-husband, Bruce Willis, 52.
"People made such a fuss about it," Moore tells Bazaar, "you would have thought the world had never seen it before. Age wasn't what I was thinking about, but to the rest of the world it was a very big deal."
"I have a wonderful marriage, I have three wonderful daughters, I have an incredible extended family, and I have loving, wonderful friends," she said.
As far as her close relationship with Willis is concerned, "One of the most healing things for Bruce was seeing me meet someone who has brought me so much happiness. And I so much want the same for him. We get so much from being able to share holidays and spend time with all of us together. The kids don't have to choose. They're getting double the support, double the love, double the encouragement."
Daughter Tallulah, 14, echoes that sentiment. "We are one big family. Late at night, after a long day, we can sit around and laugh with one another."
Moore also admitted that even though she didn't present Kutcher to her daughters at first, she enjoyed their support once the introductions were made.
"He initiated the discussion. He jumped in and said, 'I want you to know that I don't take coming into children's lives lightly.' That was within the first couple of weeks of our relationship, before he had met the girls. They are my priority, and I've always been sensitive to their feelings, but as the parent you can't allow your children to dictate what's right for you," Moore said.
"Look, I’m the product of divorced parents, and my brother and I were
the pawns in my parents’ game," Moore explained. "I never wanted that for my
kids."
