Dell has high hopes for the future! There is only one leader on the personal
computer market, and at the moment this place is taken by HP; Dell should make real efforts to surpass its rival, which took a
near 3.5% market share lead at the end of last year, but as any dream can become reality, nothing can stop Dell from dreaming, especially since the new XPS M1530 notebook that the company revealed today is really amazing.
According to Dell, XPS M1530 comes packed with all the same “award-winning
design and features” first bundled into the company’s highly popular XPS M1330,
which was launched earlier in the year.
The new XPS M1530 appears to be even “smarter” than its
predecessor because of two reasons: first, it is a 15.4-inch notebook and
secondly, its comes equipped with a fingerprint reader, with touch-sensitive
multi-media buttons, as well as with a built-in web camera and an exterior
design that boasts brushed aluminum accents and a wide range of “sophisticated”
color choices. With a starting price of $999, the notebook comes with an Intel
Core 2 Duo T5250 processor inside, with 1 GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at
667 Mhz and a 120 GB 5400rpm SATA Hard Drive.
"The enthusiastic reception of the XPS M1330
demonstrates that Dell’s focus on design and performance resonates with
customers seeking a premium notebook experience," said Dell’s
senior vice president, Alex Gruzen. He also added that this new smart notebook “will
bring the XPS experience to the most popular 15.4-inch widescreen market
segment.”
But will XPS M1530 really have the power to launch Dell atop HP?
